My Contributions in Islam ๐Ÿ•Œ๐Ÿ•‹

Assalamualaikum and Hi there ๐Ÿ˜‡ ! This post is for E-portfolio assignment in my Usrah Budi 1 specifically on my contributions in Islam๐ŸŒผ Recently I did an assignment in subject UNGS 2090. The topic of the assignment is The Importance of Spiritual Heart  ❤️  in Knowledge Acquisition. So today, I want to share some of the information that I get while doing the research and readings on that topic. ๐Ÿ“„
Based on what I have read, human being is made up of two elements: physical ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿป‍♀️and spiritual (heart)❤️. Both of these elements have different needs. The body needs something of a material nature such as food, drink, clothing, jewellery and fame ๐Ÿ”๐ŸŸ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿฅ•๐ŸŒฝ๐ŸŽ. Instead, the spiritual yearn for something to feel like peace, harmony, love and care๐Ÿ’•. Physical originated from the soil, the symbol of humility. On the contrary, the spiritual originated from the highest level which is very close to the Divine (God).
The reality of man is his spirituality. The spirit is the main sources of all goodness and virtue. In fact, physical well-being is also very much dependent on spiritual well-being. If the spiritual is ill, for example, all the physical benefits will be meaningless. Can a person have an appetite if his heart is in a bad mood?

The Messenger of Allah said “The rich heart is the true rich”๐Ÿ’ฐ. Therefore, the quality of the heart must be given priority over the quantity of property. Remember, a heart of gold is worth more than a gold ring or a bracelet because the heart is the place where God "sees". God says that the most honourable among you in the sight of God is the most rightful among you, "(Surah al-Hujurat 4 9:13). This affirms the standards God has set in assessing the quality of a person based on the quality of his/ her heart.

Niyah is very important and must thing to have in knowledge acquisition and endeavour.Do you have a proper intention (niyah) in something that you do?  It comes from one’s spiritual hearts. Like all other ibadah, the intention to seek knowledge should also be purely dedicated to Allah SWT, not because of  the desire to gain worldly attentions and benefits.

In a hadith narrated by Imam Bukhari in the book of Sahih Bukhari, Prophet Muhammad Saw. He said, “Surely every act depends on its intention, and every man will receive his own reward. Whoever seeks something that is worldly in his religious affairs, he will get it but with a real loss.”

In the book of Tanbihul Ghofilin the work of Abul Laits Al Samarqandi is described in the Prophet's hadith about the wrong intentions of a seeker of knowledge. Which of these intentions would entail a seeker of knowledge to hell.

Nabi Muhammad S.A.W. say:

"Whoever learns the science of seeking four things he will go to hell, to compete with the Scholars, to oppose the ignorant, to seek the attention of the people, to obtain the wealth, honour, fame, and position (of office) of government. ”

This hadith is a threat to those who are not sincere in studying. Especially when the intention of learning is for the material things of the world., Niyah that comes from spiritual heart is the most important in knowledge acquisition and endeavour.

In Surah An nahl, allah said:

And Allah has extracted you from the wombs of your mothers ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿป‍๐Ÿฆฐ not knowing a thing, and He made for you hearing ๐Ÿ‘‚๐Ÿป and vision๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ and intellect๐Ÿง  that perhaps you would be grateful.

Allah SWT mentions these three words in the Quran 132 times describing their importance to mankind. Muslim scholars have interpreted the three words which is the hearing, the vision and the heart that God mentions most often in the Quran as it is the door to all information and knowledge that touches human life. That means everything start with niyah or intention from one’s heart. ❤️

I think thats all from me. Thank you for reading!
